Inquisitors

Our Inquisitors are children aged 6 weeks – 2 years. They are based upstairs where the space is more cosy and home-like with features that enable us to cater for their personal care and sleeping needs whilst remaining in the 1:3 staff to child ratio.  Our Inquisitors thrive in an environment that is rich in heuristic play and sensory experiences; supporting their gross motor skills and brain development.

The open-ended nature of these activities means children can explore in a myriad of ways, allowing for their imagination to lead their play.  Our Inquisitors are actively exposed to various sounds – sounds which they discover can be created between the surfaces of different objects; supporting their early phonics skills. The heuristic play objects offer opportunities for children to actively explore, combine and manipulate items in a range of sizes, shapes and weights; promoting early mathematical conceptual learning.

Our practitioners adapt to the changing needs of Our Inquisitors and react to every interaction however small. Our ambition is to build solid foundations for the first stepping stone towards success.

Collaborators

Our Collaborators are children aged 2 – 3 years old. Their adventures will begin upstairs in a familiar environment where they feel safe and secure they will then transition downstairs when they show signs of readiness. Our blossoming 2 -3 year olds are constantly intrigued by the world around them and learn best when they are interested which is why our practitioners plan learning activities that are thought provoking, fun and based on the children’s interests.

Our collaborators are encouraged to co-operate with their peers whilst discovering their own independence; they will help set up dinner tables for lunch understanding the routines pertaining this, self-serve their food and feed themselves. In partnership with our parents/carers our practitioners will support toilet training your child. Our ambition is to ensure that our Collaborators build the confidence, independence and skills required for their next adventures as an Explorer.
